SYSTEM FEATURES

Date driven system allowing reports to be produced for specific time periods. The system recognise dates rather than periods. Therefore, reports can be produced for the timeframes required. It also allows end of year procedures to be carried out after the new financial year has started.

Formula Driven Pay Components. Rockfast allows unlimited, formula driven pay components comfortably catering for the most complex award structures, EBA agreements, or leave accruals, and performs calculations for items such as percentage increases, percentage salary sacrifice deductions, after tax deductions, various tax deduction rates, redundancy payments, and garnishee payments.

Automatic Termination Wizard. Rockfast’s automatic termination wizard simplifies the complicated termination process. It caters for termination payments in all situations such as “Death Paid to Dependant”, “Death Paid to Non-Dependant”, “Death Paid to Trustee”, “Due to Invalidity”, “Due to Early Retirement”, and “Due to Redundancy”. This facility automatically and accurately calculates termination payments, including both pre and post 1983 leave, and taxation on redundancies. Advice of days and years of services is also available within the wizard.

Input of transactions (e.g. leave or pay) in advance. Leave and pay transactions may be entered in advance. These transactions will remain dormant in the system, marked future, until the specified pay period end date is reached. Changes to approved leave may be made up to that date.

Easy reporting, sorting and printing of information. All Rockfast standard reports are published in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel or HTML to enable easy distribution and further data manipulation. Each Rockfast standard report has virtually an unlimited number of ways of displaying information depending upon your requirements. Furthermore, each report may be produced for an unlimited number of subsections of your employees by using Rockfast’s easy-to-design and easy-to-use filtering facilities. All reports created are stored in the produced report folder. By appropriately naming reports, they can be quickly accessed for viewing or reprinting. Even a single pay advice can be found and reproduced easily.

Standard Reports. Each standard report has facilities for the application of personal preferences. Standard reports detail costing, cost analysis, breaks in earnings, new employees, terminated employees, head counts, payroll tax, and superannuation. Rockfast provides a filter capability to allow for the generation of ad hoc reports including work force age and service profiles, as well as names of employees with nominated attributes, skills, licenses, etc. Rockfast can prompt dates when licenses, etc. expire or require renewal or when service milestones (e.g. 10 years, 1976 hours) are achieved by employees.

Rockfast has been designed with many of the easy to use Microsoft functions. Rockfast is the first payroll system to be designed in true “Windows” format. It has been designed for use like any of the Microsoft suite of Office products. The standard Microsoft functionality that you are familiar with in the suite of Microsoft Office products is all throughout Rockfast Revelation. For example, numerous windows may be open at any one time, whilst print jobs, reporting and other tasks are occurring in the background, allowing easy cross-referencing. Information can be cut/copied and pasted between other areas of Rockfast or between other programs. Similar to Microsoft Excel, information screens in Rockfast may be sorted by a single or multiple columns. Rockfast is set up in the familiar Windows Explorer tree-like folder and file structure.

Self-balancing General Ledger Interface. The general ledger report has been designed to balance and enforces “double entry” controls. As a result, any missing or duplicated components leading to imbalances are clearly detailed displaying payroll posted cost account and value. Accruals, standing journal entries, reversal journal entries, additional on-costs and provisions are all comprehensively catered for within the GL facility. Furthermore, Rockfast is able to cater for the most complicated journal entries by allowing formulas to be used to calculate these GL entries. Rockfast allows the creation of an unlimited number of GL accounts and can report for individual organisations within a group or for the entire group.

Searching & Replacing. Rockfast allows searching on single words within the employee masterfile. Rockfast has the ability to search and replace information for one or multiple employees. Changes to fields of multiple employees can be made with one mouse click.

The employee masterfile lists previous transactions with period end, gross pay, tax and net, together with the facility to total monetary columns. The breakdown of actual pay transactions may be viewed.

Employees may be transferred between organisations in the click of a button via a drop down facility, without losing history. The employee’s history will flow to the new organisation. At the end of year, Rockfast will automatically produce the required number of Payment Summaries for each organisation utilised.

Rockfast is able to store and search on employee attributes and allocated dates. An unlimited attributes table allows a quick search to be made on employee attributes, which may be important to your organisation. Attributes may be activated on a specified date.

A full journal of leave accruals is kept within the employee masterfile. This journal shows all accrual updates on hours worked or granted as specified and displays incidences of all types of leave taken, not only annual, long service, sick, other, and rostered days off.

Online and Context sensitive Help. An extensive context sensitive on-line Help is available within the Rockfast that may be searched in a variety of ways for a quick response. Personal notes and individual company procedures may also be added to the help section. Future Rockfast Revelation Help updates do not overwrite personal notes or company procedures.

Online Post Codes and BSB verification, with annual updates. Rockfast software contains and Rockfast maintains a listing of Australian postcodes and BSB numbers.

“This Pay Only” modifications can be made during transaction entry. Such modifications include changes to or additional bank accounts.

Accurate payroll tax calculations. Rockfast accurately calculates payroll tax at the individual pay component level taking into account each employee’s resident State and each State’s different threshold and payroll tax percentage

Unlimited Superannuation organisations. An unlimited number of superannuation funds may be established and allocated to nominated employees.

Pay Advices. Rockfast allows the production of pay advices to be generated at other work locations. Pay advices may be emailed to employees if desired. Rockfast pay advices conform to the various state legislations.

Electronic File Transfer (EFT) may be produced prior to printing pay advices.

Rockfast has the ability to search, replace and clone individual or multiple employees. This is particularly important in high casual turnover industries. Cloning an employee copies all fields that are not employee specific. This greatly reduces data entry time.

Automatic history and audit journal. Any changes and updates made to an employee masterfile are automatically recorded in the history and audit journal. The time, date, the officer responsible for the change and the field changed are recorded.

Time and Attendance information may be electronically imported into Rockfast eliminating data entry and error whilst increasing efficiency.
